R.I.P. Chris Henry
Instead of the Bengals just losing Chris Henry for the season with an injury, Chris Henry has now lost his life after falling out of the back of a pick-up truck on Wednesday in North Carolina.
I read the report of the accident on TMZ yesterday, but this morning just before 7am pst, it was revealed that Henry had died earlier in the day.
As a non-Bengals fan, I became familiar with Chris during the HBO show Hard Knocks. Chris was a guy, by all accounts, who was working to turn his life around after a string of 5 arrests in a 28-month period and being released from the Bengals a few seasons back.
Chris leaves behind his fiancee and 3 children.
My thoughts are with the Henry family, his fiancee, and the Bengals.
Update: The Bengals practiced as scheduled at 1 pm local time and will wear a sticker on their helmets Sunday to honor Henry according to TMZ.
