NFL 2009 – Week 8

It seems like there has been a collective sigh of relief around the league as the Vikings beat the Packers…but I do not feel as if there is another game to really look forward to.

The games involving the Colts & the Saints are a bit flashy as we wonder who will these teams lose to; the Saints have the most favorable schedule to keep them undefeated.

For Monday, the big story could be a non-story.  Ryan Clark, who possesses some traits of sickle-cell disease, has been medically cleared to play in Denver but will most likely not.  The last time Clark played in Denver, the result was the removal of his gallbladder & spleen, due to the damage that being at mile-high exacerbates on his condition.  According to NBC, the team has not revealed if CLark will play or not.  It has been reported that he will still travel with the team for the game.  For his future and the sake of his family, I hope he opts out of play.
