Big Plans Tonite!!!

I’m venturing p to Hollywood for the evening.   Apparently there are some BIG happenings at One Sunset & Coco De Ville…

It’s my birthday party… well, the first round.

My birthday is officaially April 29, so before the stroke of 12 I will be at Coco tonight… feel free to help celebrate!

Chargers’ Phillips Stirs Up Some News In SD

Shaun Phillips made TMZ today, never good if it is negative, with a interesting, uncredited report as to some alleged incidents in San Diego.

I won’t be unbiased, I went to Purdue, I knew SP; he was not one to provoke incidents, and was always quick to be the level-head to put the fuse out on a situation.

I’ll say cops are called to situations all the time, when nothing ever comes of it.  Cops show up when your kids have a party and you are out of town, it doesn’t mean anything illegal happened.  I trust that the surveillance footage of the bar will provide lots for all to see.

You May Now Resume Your Regularly Broadcast Program

Congratulations! You have survived all of the post-BCS, pre-combine, combine, post-combine, pro-day, pre-draft, draft day 1, over-night intermission, draft day 2, and post draft coverage.  This coverage wa not only on the tv, but all over spors talk radio with as many as 3 stations in large markets covering the draft itself.

I feel a little bit dirty. Ok, so the big story, Jets move up to the 5 spot to get Mark Sanchez, one of the 3 picks they made the whole weekend.

Another story, the Raiders took a kid who didn’t get an invite to the combine. Micheal Mitchell, was taken in the second round, he’s out of Ohio, plays safety. To draft non-combine players, on the first day is ridiculously rare.

Birds Go Tweet Tweet

So, I’ve hopped onto the Twitter train, so to speak.

I’ve leaned that the New Orleans Hornets follow me, and you should too.

Hello Hottness

Today is tax day, but ladies… this may lift your spirits…

I owed, again, this year… no refund means no trip to Louis Vuittion or Gucci.  But pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo half-dressed do make me forget about that temporarily.

No Love Lost

One day, eventually, I knew it would happen…

I know I don’t have to condone it, but according to People, Andy Roddick is getting married near his home is Austin this weekend.

My affection and attention to Roddick has totally dwindled since his engagement was announced just over a year ago, I will completely admit it.  Congrats to the happy couple!

Pro Arrests Pile Up

So, there is this one

And this one from earlier in the week

And, then there is the charging of manslaughter

One would like to think that these folks could find something else to do with their resources.

Gone Too Soon

With the tragedy of Nick Adenhart’s passing, the Angeles put together a very thoughtful tribute that was broadcast before the moment of silence at today’s home game against the Red Sox.

Many players showed free flowing emotion since the news broke of Nick’s death at the hands of an alleged drunk driver who was already convicted of a DUI.

After the tribute, Torii Hunter jogged out to the banner comemerating Nick’s life…

My thoughts go out to Nick’s family, friends, and teammates… he just gets to play for another team after realizing his dream.

Final Four

Yes, my bracket blew up the Thursday of the second weekend… due to my Big Ten ties, I will be a State fan today.

One thing is for sure, I cannot go for UConn.  The reason, you ask?  I am actually a victim of the stolen lap-top scandal.  One of my TA’s at Purdue was teaching at UConn and had their office broken into, and their laptop stolen… well, my info was still on that laptop, so UConn is paying for my fraud protection for the next 3 years.  In good faith, I cannot cheer for a criminal whose actions may lead to my financial insecurity and identity theft down the road.
